EDUCATE UNDERPRIVILEGED CHILDREN

Our commitment goes even further than social employment practices. It is also visible in the Hilverda Foundation, founded in our anniversary year 2009. Because Royal Hilverda Group is so active internationally, it also comes in contact with people whose lives are less rose-coloured than ours. The Hilverda Foundation wants to make a difference for some of them. It offers vulnerable orphans the opportunity to study and develop themselves.
Thanks to the foundation, multiple children in Kenya have finished their education in marketing, education and nursing.
Since 2020 the foundation sponsors new educational projects in Kenya as well as in India and Colombia. This way, we give underprivileged children a bright future in which they will be able to not only support themselves and their loved ones, but also contribute to the development of their country. There has also been a growing inequality of opportunity in the Netherlands in recent years. That is why the Hilverda Foundation has been supporting a number of Dutch children from underprivileged backgrounds since 2023, so that they too can develop and study optimally.
 
 

A NEW FOUNDATION BOARD

The Hilverda Foundation introduced a new board in the autumn of 2019. After 10 years, Jan Hilverda passed the baton to Karen Hilverda (chairwoman), Karina Eveleens (secretary), Alexander Marijnissen (treasurer), Jan Jorrit Eveleens, Rosanne Hilverda and Barbara Eveleens.
